Philanthropist Theodore Forest

After the Civil War there were a lot of people that were in need of help just to survive. Ex Confederate Military Units would band together and form Associations that would help the needy. Over the years Theodore belonged to at least four of these organizations. Every place Theo moved his family, he became involved in one. He held an office in all four organizations I found him in.
Theodore was the Secretary of the Mutual Assistance Society of St. Jacques (Saint James Parish) in 1870.
